Laura is the Founder of Blackheath Advisors, where she partners with Founders, Chairs, and CEOs to strengthen board resilience through better governance, strategy, leadership and culture. During her 30-year career, Laura has served in global and regional general management roles at Accenture, Meta, Amazon, Citi and American Express. She has also served as Chairman, Advisor and NED on several regulated financial services boards. Having lived in London, Luxembourg, Singapore, New York and Los Angeles, she brings a global perspective and curiosity to her clients.

Laura holds a BS in Accounting from Auburn University and MBA degrees from London and Columbia Business Schools, as well as Leadership Coaching credentials from Georgetown University, The Leadership Circle (LCP), and Collective Leadership Assessment (CLA).

Alastair Thompson is a GTM professional with significant experience in turning commercial ambition into results. He supports clients on their GTM strategies and Blackheath Advisors on business development and partnerships.

Alastair is an Associate of Blackheath Advisors, serving fractionally as the Chief Commercial Officer and may selectively support clients clients looking to sharpen go-to-market strategy, develop high-value partnerships and accelerate commercial growth with greater focus and discipline. He has over 15 years of experience in commercial leadership roles across fintech, payments, embedded finance, AI-driven platforms, and sustainability-linked ventures. He has led global enterprise sales, developed strategic partnerships, driven market entry and helped founders shift project-based models to recurring SaaS models. In addition to Alastair's current portfolio of advisory clients, he is the co-founder of ventures in sustainability and energy transition. He is also actively leaning into AI and quantum computing.

As CEO of KPN Advisory, he helps regulated firms build more resilient businesses through audit, risk management, regulatory compliance, and AI-enabled process improvement. With over 15 years of risk and audit experience across FCA-regulated fintech, payments and electronic money institutions, he has a strong track record of building audit functions, strengthening governance and improving control maturity. He has advised boards, audit committees and executive teams on SMCR accountability, Consumer Duty, safeguarding, operational resilience and financial crime risk. He combines board-level judgement with hands-on expertise across internal audit, IT controls, cyber risk, DORA readiness and AI governance.

Previously, Amir spent 25 years in senior sales leadership roles at leading technology companies including Computacenter, Xerox, IBM and Veritas. Following his early career in the Royal Navy, Simon was a partner with Russell Reynolds Associates, leading the Financial Services Practice in London and fostering trusted board and executive client relationships across banking, wealth management and insurance. As Founder and Managing Director of 1805, he delivers leadership change, succession and transformation for clients with careful judgement, broad perspective and sensitive execution. He brings specialist knowledge of digital banking and transformation, and has worked extensively across the UK, Australia, the Middle East and the United States. Simon helps clients strengthen board composition, develop healthy leadership cultures and support senior leaders through transition, growth and change.

Rupert Jones CBE serves as an Advisory Board Member of Blackheath Advisors and selectively supports clients with strategy, war games, table top exercises, crisis simulations and leadership coaching/ mentorship. Rupert brings a rare combination of leadership, strategy, and crisis-management experience forged in some of the world’s most demanding environments. A decorated former British Army Major General, he brings over 30 years of senior leadership experience across complex operational, strategic, and organisational roles. He commanded British forces in Afghanistan, served as the Army’s Director of Communications and was a member of the Army Executive Board. Notably, he served as Deputy Commander of the US-led coalition that defeated ISIS in Iraq and Syria. He now provides coaching and mentorship to corporate leaders and government officials and helps boards and executive teams build strategy and rehearse for high-pressure scenarios, improve judgement under pressure and build the resilience required to lead through disruption, uncertainty and crisis.
